MAKING THE CUT
This board displays the samples that I tried with my final fabric, a faux leather. I chose to incorporate pleating, reverse appliqué, and pops of beading and decorative stitches for additions of gold tones to the maroon and black.
My concept for this jacket is the geometric shapes and gold outlines of the Art Deco movement combined with the juxtaposition of smooth leather with the short pile of soft velvet.

The final product is a faux leather jacket with a velvet lining and reverse appliqué. It also features pleated sleeves, beading, and decorative stitches.
